Browser Sources - Quiz

Quiz Browser Source

Looking to keep your audience engaged while taking a quick break? The Quiz Browser Source feature allows your viewers to participate in a live quiz even while you’re away from your keyboard. Whether you’re stepping away for a bio break or switching scenes, this tool is perfect for maintaining stream interactivity and viewer retention.

Getting Started

To begin:

  1. Head to your Dashboard.
  2. Navigate to Browser Sources.
  3. Click on Quiz to open the Quiz Settings panel.

At the top of this page, you’ll find the Browser Source URL — this is what you’ll copy and paste into your preferred streaming software (e.g. OBS, Streamlabs). The recommended resolution for the browser source is 1920 x 1200, but you’re free to adjust it to better suit your stream layout.

You’ll also find the command used to end a running quiz: !endquiz

Typing this in chat will instantly stop the quiz and display the current leaderboard.

General Settings

The General section includes basic customisation options for your quiz:

  • Quiz Heading – Title displayed at the top of the quiz.
  • Subheading – A short description or instruction.
  • Start Trigger – The command that begins the quiz. This is set to GO by default but can be customised.
  • Question Timer – The time (in seconds) allowed for viewers to answer each question. You can set this anywhere from 5 to 60 seconds.

Additionally, you can configure the difficulty of the questions:

  • Easy
  • Medium
  • Hard

You can enable any combination of these to offer a balanced mix or tailor your quiz to a specific difficulty level.

Categories

In the Categories section, you’ll see a full list of available quiz categories. Each category includes a count of how many questions are available, helping you decide which topics to include.

Once selected, your chosen categories will appear in a list below for easy reference. These selections define the question pool used during your quizzes.

Appearance

The Appearance section lets you customise the visual style of your quiz:

  • Choose from a selection of preset colour schemes to match your stream’s theme or branding.

This makes it easy to keep your content visually consistent while offering a fun and interactive element.

Leaderboards

The Leaderboards section keeps track of participant scores from your current or previous quiz sessions.

You can Reset Leaderboard the leaderboard to start fresh for a new quiz. You can even name it so it saves it into your Previous leaderboards tab.

This is ideal for running quiz tournaments, recurring events, or simply rewarding your most knowledgeable viewers.
